John Rodenrys

Co-Founder, Executive VP of Research and Development

Mr. Rodenrys, one of the Co-Founders of Leading BioSciences, serves as the company’s Executive VP of Research and Development, playing a critical role in the clinical advancement of drug candidate LB1148. He previously served as CEO of the predecessor company, Leading Ventures LLC. Mr. Rodenrys brings decades of executive leadership experiences from throughout the healthcare field. He has been CEO of SafetyMate Corp. and Chief Operating Officer of ForHealth Technologies, where he was responsible for R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, customer service and field operations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rodenrys served as President of Vistant Corp. (a subsidiary of Cardinal Health and a Fortune 40 Company), as Vice President of R&D and IT for Pyxis Corp. (also a subsidiary of Cardinal Health) and Vice President of Development for MicroMRP, a LAN-based enterprise software company. Mr. Rodenrys is an active member of the San Diego Tech Coast Angels and is on review panels for the Center for the Commercialization of Advanced Technology and the von Liebig Center at University of California, San Diego. He holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master’s in Management Science from U.S. International University, an executive MBA from Boston University and has achieved the designation of APICS CPIM (American Production & Inventory Control Society: Certified in Production & Inventory Management). He is the co-author of “Production and Management Systems for Business,” published by Prentice Hall, and is a co-inventor on six patents.
